WIC 2007 County Profile Data

The County Profile analysis is a detailed view of the WIC Program Performance measures in each Georgia County during the 2007 Fiscal year. This data can be used to determine the value of the Georgia WIC Program in each Georgia County.

WIC County Profiles Definitions

Average Participation
The Average Participation is the average of the sum of the number of women who are enrolled in the WIC program foods or food instruments during the reportin during the first three months who have received supplemental foods or food instruments during the reporting period and the number of infants breast-fed by participant breastfeeding women during the reporting period.

Potential Eligible Population
The Potential Eligible Population is the population in Georgia eligible for WIC benefits who have received WIC benefits and services in that geographic area.

First Trimester Enrollment
The First Trimester Enrollment data is the average enrollment of Women who have received benefits from the WIC Program during during the first three months 1st Trimester.

Infant Breastfeeding
Infant Breastfeeding data identifies the average number of WIC clients that initiated Breastfeeding.
Initiated Breastfeeding data identifies the amount of women who initiated breastfeeding.
The data is listed by County, State Average and Healthy People 2010 Goal.
The Duration of Infant Breastfeeding identifies the how long a participant has breasfeed (at least 6 months).
The duration of women who participated in feeding their infants at least 6 months is not available by County. However, the State Average and Healthy People 2010 Goal is listed in the County Profile.

Obesity Rate
The Obesity Rate is data collected annually for WIC participants in Georgia. This data identifies the amount of participants that are overweight or obese. This information, also, identifies the WIC participants who are at risk of being overweight.

Clinic Listing
The Clinic Listing is a listing of the name, address and city of the Clinics in the corresponding County.

Vendor Information
The Vendor Information list the total number of Vendors in the County, the number of vouchers cashed and the total amount of WIC Food Dollars that have influenced that County.
