The DeKalb County Board of Health seeks the highest possible health status for the people who live, work and play in DeKalb County. The health of the community is influenced, indeed determined, by the conditions that contribute to health. It is the individual and collective responsibility of DeKalb residents to help create positive health conditions.

Administration
Administration is the central business, fiscal and administrative arm of the DeKalb County Board of Health.

Office of the Director
Responsible for the day-to-day operations and management of DeKalb County Board of Health.

Personal Health Services
Personal Health Services (PHS) strives to provide high quality, personal preventive and primary care services to the diverse clients who live, work and play in DeKalb County. Personal health services are offered at six health centers located throughout the county.

Population Based Services
The primary purpose of the Population Based Services (PBS) component of the DeKalb County Board of Health is to prevent epidemics and the spread of disease, protect against environmental hazards, prevent injuries, promote and encourage healthy behaviors, and respond to public health emergencies.

Public Relations and Volunteer Services
The Office of Public Relations and Volunteer Services provides public relations and marketing support to all Board of Health programs, centers and units. The volunteer services coordinator works with staff to incorporate community members into Board of Health activities.
