HIV Prevention Program

HIV Prevention Interventions

Federal (CDC) funds for HIV prevention interventions are administered by the HIV Unit. These interventions must be science-based and must have evidence of effectiveness. Many of these interventions have been evaluated by CDC and are part of CDC’s Diffusion of Effective Behavioral Interventions (DEBI) efforts. Training for prevention interventions is provided by national capacity providers and/or the HIV Unit Training and Capacity Building Team.

Community based organizations and other agencies are invited to apply for funds for HIV prevention services when funding is available. Announcements of availability of funding are placed on the Georgia Department of Administrative Services (DOAS) Procurement Registry website. To become a registered vendor please visit Team Georgia Marketplace.
