Move Over “5 A Day!” Fruits and Veggies- More Matters takes over!

The 2005 Dietary Guidelines for Americans recommends eating up to 13 servings of fruits and vegetables a day. Action was taken by the Produce for Better Health Foundation (PBH) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) in response to this recommendation. The result was the launching of a new brand to replace the “5 A Day for Better Health” campaign. The new initiative is the “Fruits and Veggies-More Matters” campaign. The Georgia Department of Public Health has joined this initiative in promoting this new brand. Visit www.fruitsandveggiesmorematters.org for information and resources on how you can make “More Matter!” Ideas to promote increasing fruit and vegetable consumption are only limited to your imagination!
