Customer Service
The Office of Nursing values its relationships with both internal and external customers, including the district leadership, public
health nurses (PHNs), county health departments, state office nurse consultants, schools of nursing, and colleagues within the Division of Public Health and the
Georgia Department of Public Health. Each member of the Office of Nursing strives to be approachable, kind, and helpful in all encounters and to provide each customer
with a timely, accurate, and satisfactory response to requests or inquiries. The
Office of Nursing develops relationships with a positive, collaborative
approach that values effective communication, inclusiveness, shared governance and follow through.

Leadership
The Office of Nursing demonstrates leadership consistent with the Public Health mission by developing and fostering a vision for a safe and healthy Georgia; by addressing and
communicating issues that reflect the latest trends and current reality of public health nursing; by developing policy; by advocating for public health
nursing at the state and national levels; by providing PHNs with educational opportunities; and by informing the districts of policy information and
regulatory updates. The Office of Nursing values the leadership role and potential in each PHN and strives to assure that PHNs are engaged in and
represented by the statewide PHN network that is built on a framework of shared governance.

Products and Services
The Office of Nursing is proactive in developing products, tools and services that
support contemporary public health nursing and are aimed at improving the health
status of Georgians. The Office of Nursing values an evidence-based approach and
incorporates best practices in developing its products and services. PHNs and
other customers use the Office of Nursing products, tools and services to assure access to health and to achieve health outcomes.

Satisfaction Survey
The purpose of the Satisfaction Survey is to identify the extent of customer
satisfaction with the leadership, products, technical assistance and services
provided by the Office of Nursing to the Districts and State Offices.
