Office of Legal Services
Mission
The Office of Legal Services is available to provide legal support for all Division Offices, Branches, and District Health Directors.
Major Focus Areas
- Reviewing Division actions to insure compliance with State and Federal law
- Respond to requests for legal opinions and information
- Provide guidance concerning the statutory responsibilities of the Division and County Boards of Health
- Assist in contract review upon request
- Assist program managers in the development of rules and rule making under the Georgia Administrative Procedure Act
- Liaison with the Office of the Attorney General and the Law Department and other attorneys within DCH
