Health Matters

Health Matters – it matters to you, your family, your friends and even your workplace. That’s why the Georgia Department of Public Health now offers Health Matters, a worksite wellness program, to all its employees located at 2 Peachtree.


 

Health Matters helps you eat healthy, be active, be positive, be smoke free and more. There's no fee to join and members enjoy many free services and resources including:

  • Fitness classes during lunch
  • Recipes for quick, healthy and tasty dishes
  • Health screening and fitness assessment
  • Pedometers, stretch bands and other fun prizes
  • Access to smoking cessation classes
  • Use of a cozy lactation room for breastfeeding mothers
  • An online tool to track progress toward fitness & nutrition goals

How can you get involved?

Even if you only have a few minutes a day, you can benefit from the Health Matters wellness program. This program provides helpful tips and encourages you to make positive health changes. Look for events and activities sponsored by the Health Matters Worksite Wellness Initiative.

Monthly Fitness Tip

Be Active - Engage in physical activity regularly.

Eat Healthy - Enjoy a life-healthy diet that includes fruits and vegetables. It also means eating less salt, sugar, and fat.
