Overview

OGME’s primary role is to maximize the use of external funds available to the Division of Public Health to fulfill the Division’s mission and to achieve its goal and objectives.

Major functions include:

  1. Grant procurement to identify funding opportunities to assist programs and health districts in the development and implementation of public health practices, services and activities, improving the health of Georgians.
  2. Grant support for DPH programs to assure adherence to state and federal rules, regulations and requirements and to provide liaison to state and federal agencies regarding on-going grant activities.
  3. Grant management to facilitate grants performance evaluation by monitoring fiscal and programmatic activities.
