On-Site Sewage Management Systems -
Technical Review Committee (TRC)
Pursuant to the provisions of O.C.G.A. 50-4-4 and as authorized by the Commissioner of the Georgia Department of Public Health( DPH), the Director, Division of Public Health appointed the Onsite Sewage Management Systems Technical Review Committee on May 21, 1999.
As provided in Section 290-5-26-.16 of the DHR Rules for On-Site Sewage Management Systems, the duties of the Technical Review Committee are to make recommendations to the department regarding the approval of new systems, assist the Department with the development and revision of standards and guidelines for new technology, assist with the adoption of periodic updates to the Manual for On-Site Sewage Management Systems, and serve as the final authority in contested interpretation issues of the Rules and the Manual for On-site Sewage Management Systems.
