From the American College of Radiology this site contains a document entitled , "Disaster Preparedness for Radiology Professionals: Response to Radiological Terrorism: A Primer for Radiologists, Radiation Oncologists and Medical Physicists." In light of recent information and intelligence concerning the possibility of terrorists using a "dirty" bomb with conventional explosives used to spread radioactive material, this primer serves as a reminder of some of the special precautions and actions that hospital and emergency medical staff may need to take.
