Announcements released by local, state or federal public health authorities, meant to inform the health and medical services of likely or imminent dangers to the health of the community.

In case of emergency contact: GDPH Epidemiology department at: 404-657-2588 (day, 8 am - 5pm), or 770-578-4104 (after 5 pm, weekends and holidays)

Categories of Health Alert messages:
Health Alert: conveys the highest level of importance; warrants immediate action or attention.
Health Advisory: provides important information for a specific incident or situation; may not require immediate action.
Health Update: provides updated information regarding an incident or situation; unlikely to require immediate action.
Health Info Message: provides updated information; requires no immediate action.
