10 Ways - Burn 100 Calories More a Day

  1. Ride your bike while you enjoy the outdoors and strengthen your legs and heart. Invite the kids and make it a family outing. (10 minutes)

  2. Find a fitness video that you like and enjoy several times a week. Swap videos with a friend occasionally for something new and different. (10 to 15 minutes)

  3. Walk. It's the easiest and simplest exercise known to man. Go alone or bring a friend along and briskly walk while you talk. (15 minutes)

  4. Feel like a kid again and jump rope. Start in bursts of two to three minutes and build up. (15 minutes)

  5. Jog in place or take a few laps around the block. (10 minutes)

  6. Take the stairs, up and down as you tone your bottom and legs. The greater the effort, the more calories you will burn. (15 - 20 minutes)

  7. Dance around the house alone or head out to the clubs with a group for a fun way to improve your cardiovascular fitness and even your mood. (20 minutes)

  8. Spruce up your home…try power cleaning. Move quickly from chore to chore using a little elbow grease. (20 minutes)

  9. Wash the car yourself instead of a visit to the car wash for a great upper body workout. (20 to 30 minutes)

  10. Nurture beautiful plants and flowers by doing a little gardening. Remember to engage your abs when gardening, especially when bending or lifting objects. (25 - 30 minutes)
