Jones wins Nursing Award
Lisa Jones, RN, a case manager with Baby LUV, was nominated for and received the Ruth B. Freeman Nursing Award for Population Health Practice Nursing at the annual GPA conference 2011. Mrs. Jones began her career in Public Health with the Baby LUV program in 2008, which was a very crucial time within Lowndes County (District 8-1) to address the high rates of infant mortality.
Public Health Invites Public Comment
The Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) launched its public comment period for the Preventive Health and Health Services (PHHS) Block Grant application for Federal Fiscal Year 2012 (FFY12). All residents of Georgia are invited to participate by submitting comments during the public comment period.
