National Food Day Celebration

Join us on the first floor of 2 Peachtree by noon for a walk to the
Truly Living Well Community Garden in the Martin Luther King
district. Once there, we will enjoy a raw food demonstration by a
local farm to table chef. Space is limited. Please RSVP for this

The Georgia Department of Community Health will host a free Health
IT Town Hall at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon. The

DPH Amazing Foot Race
Oct. 31
Grab a co-worker and race around 2 Peachtree to complete
different roadblocks at each pit stop! Prize packages will be
awarded to top finishers and the best costumed team. All
participants will be registered for the weekly drawing to wear your

DPH Weight Loss Holiday
Survivor Competition
Nov. 5-Jan 11
If weight loss (or just not gaining weight) during the holidays is
your goal, then join us for the DPH Holiday Survivor Competition!
Teams of four will compete to lose weight Nov. 5-Jan. 11 The
competition is open to state DPH employees and weigh-ins will be
Nov. 1 from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at 2 Peachtree and Nov. 2 from 2:30-4
p.m. at Clairmont Lab. Biweekly weigh-ins will be held at each
location. Prizes for the top 3 percent weight loss for team and
individual will be awarded. Team registration forms are available at

Nurse of the Year is a gala recognition and appreciation event honoring
distinguished nurses from throughout the state. Anyone-patients,
friends, co-workers and health professionals-can nominate a nurse.
