Julia Campbell Receives another Big Award for EH and DPH

On July 13, Julia Campbell, Program Consultant with the Chemical Hazards Program was awarded "Environmentalist of the Year" by the Georgia Environmental Health Association (GEHA). GEHA is the state affiliate of the National Environmental Health Association.  Each year, one Environmental Health professional is awarded this prestigious honor from among peers during GEHA's annual education conference. The award is in recognition of service in Georgia and the winner is chosen among hundreds of GEHA members.

Clay Coleman Excellence in Customer Service Award
The Clay Coleman Excellence in Customer service Award is named for Clay Coleman, who received the Service in Excellence Award from the Georgia Immunization Program for his commitment to provide exceptional customer service for the program from 1993 t0 2006.  The award honors those Georgia Immunization Program staff members who demonstrate passion, enthusiasm and innovation in the provision of service, expertise or technical assistance to any immunization stakeholder, including the general public.  Nominations are due by August 5, 2011. Walt Orenstein Champions for Immunization Award
Walt Orenstein Champions for Immunization Award honors individuals, public/private agencies or coalitions who demonstrate excellence in providing immunization care which exemplifies the immunization guidelines set forth in the Standards for Child and Adolescent Immunization Practices.  The individual should personify the ideals and guidelines of immunization practices exemplary and go above and beyond the call of duty with the ultimate goal of immunizing Georgia.  Nominations are due by August 5, 2011.
