Georgia Bio is hosting an event featuring William Dietz, M.D., Ph.D.,
director, Division of Nutrition, Physical Activity, and Obesity at the U.S.
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Brenda Fitzgerald, M.D.,
commissioner of the Georgia Department of Public Health. Drs. Dietz and
Fitzgerald will lead a discussion on the challenge of obesity in the U.S.
and Georgia and how government, academia and industry are working to address
the problem, particularly with respect to childhood obesity.

National HIV Testing Day

This event is designed to encourage citizens to receive voluntary HIV
testing and learn their HIV status. Join key Georgia legislators for the
5th consecutive year of this community outreach effort.

Free HIV Testing

38th and Montgomery Streets, Savannah
Chatham CARE Centerwill offer free HIV testing on June 27 in observance of
National HIV Testing Day. Testing will be done without the use of a needle
and those tested will get results in 20 minutes. A follow-up visit will be
scheduled for anyone who tests positive and counseling will be made
available to those individuals.
