Program Manager Highlighted in Technician Spotlight

Sharon Conrad, a certified  child passenger safety technician/instructor and program manager in the Office of Injury Prevention at the Georgia Department of Public Health was interviewed in Tech Update, a quarterly newsletter developed by the University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute (UMTRI) and funded by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the National Safety Council. Technical assistance and review is provided by the National Child Passenger Safety Board.

Conrad was the first technician interviewed in the newsletter's new section, Technician Spotlight. Conrad shared her reasons for becoming a certified child passenger safety technician and her experience conducting child safety seat checks in the rain, wine, sleet and snow-all in one day!
