Three DHDs Inducted into Delta Omega
District health directors Ketty M. Gonzalez, M.D., M.S., from East Central Health District; Rosemarie Parks, M.D., M.P.H., from Southeast Health District; and W. Douglas Skelton, M.D. , from Coastal Health District were inducted as honorary members of the newly formed Gamma Theta chapter of the Delta Omega national honor society at the Jiann-Ping Hsu College of Public Health at Georgia Southern University.
The Delta Omega national honor society was founded in 1924 at Johns Hopkins University to encourage research and scholarship among graduate students of public health and to recognize attainment and achievement in the field of Public Health. Delta Omega and its members are dedicated to ensuring the quality of the field of public health and to the protection and advancement of health of all people.
