The Children and Youth with Special Needs Unit of the Maternal and Child
Health Program at the Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) would like
to acknowledge the service and accomplishments of Phyllis Turner, who is
retiring after 23 years of dedicated service.
Phyllis has served in several roles at DPH, including the Children with
Special Needs Coordinator in District 4 LaGrange, where she coordinated the
Babies Can't Wait, Children's Medical Services and Children 1st programs.
Phyllis also served as interim Babies Can't Wait program manager at the
state office.
"She has been an invaluable asset to us both as the coordinator of our
children's programs and as my backup," said Hayla Hall, public information

We commend Phyllis for her extraordinary service and dedication to these
programs and wish her and her family the best in her retirement.
