Fulton County Breaks Ground for Renovation of Youth-focused Health Facility

Commissioner Joan P. Garner of the Fulton County Board of Commissioners and Fulton County Health Services held a ground breaking ceremony March 27 for an extensive renovation of Oak Hill Adolescent and Family Center. The center focuses on reducing health disparities among children and youth by emphasizing health, prevention and wellness, early childhood development, nutrition, learning, fitness and youth employment.

The new facility will offer solution-focused behavioral health care, primary care, oral care, community garden, library services, after-school program, summer program and wellness programs that address childhood issues such as obesity and asthma.

Window Safety as Temperatures Increase

Keeping windows and doors open not only provides fresh air in your home, but creates a hidden danger for your little ones. Window falls increase dramatically during the spring and summer months; however, they can be prevented. It takes supervision and a device called a window guard.
