Human H1N1 Influenza Vaccine

Interested in providing H1N1 vaccine?  Read on . . .

Partners interested in receiving and administering H1N1 vaccine should complete the H1N1 Provider Registration Form .  In order to be approved, partner providers/vaccinators must meet one of the following legal requirements in order to receive an allocation of vaccine:

Must be able to possess dangerous drugs in accordance with O.C.G.A. § 16-13-72 and must meet the definition of “pharmacist” or “pharmacy” as defined by O.C.G.A.  § 26-4-5(28) or as defined by O.C.G.A.  § 26-4-5(30).

OR

Must be able to possess dangerous drugs in accordance with O.C.G.A. § 16-13-72 and must meet the definition of “practitioner” or “practitioner of the healing arts” as defined by O.C.G.A. § 26-4-5(33).

OR

A nurse acting pursuant to an influenza vaccine protocol agreement as provided by O.C.G.A. § 43-34-26.1 and meets the definition of a “nurse” as defined in 43-34-26.1(a) (7).  “The nurse (RN or LPN) must be regularly employed by a physician who is actively employed in private practice.”

OR

Must be able to possess dangerous drugs in accordance with O.C.G.A. § 16-13-72 and meet the definition of “advanced practice registered nurse” as defined by O.C.G.A. § 43-34-25 and acting pursuant to an influenza vaccine “protocol agreement” in accordance with O.C.G.A. § 43-34-25.

OR

Must be able to possess dangerous drugs as defined by O.C.G.A. § 16-13-72 and meet the requirements of O.C.G.A. § 43-34-103, meet the definition of “physician assistant” as defined by O.C.G.A. § 43-34-102, and be acting pursuant to an influenza vaccine “job description” in accordance with O.C.G.A. § 43-34-102.
