Acute Disease Epidemiology
The mission of the Acute Disease Epidemiology Section (ADES) of the Georgia Department of Public Health is to optimize the health of Georgians by preventing and mitigating certain communicable and/or notifiable infectious diseases.

Chronic Disease, Injury & Environmental
The mission of the Chronic Disease, Injury, and Environmental Epidemiology (CDIEE) section is to systematically collect, analyze, interpret, and disseminate data on chronic diseases, injuries, and environmental exposures among Georgians.

Maternal & Child Health
The mission of MCH is to promote and improve the health and well-being of women, children and families by building MCH epidemiology and data capacity at the state and local levels to effectively use information or public health actions.

Office of Health Indicators for Planning (OHIP)
The major purpose of OHIP is to provide valid and reliable evidence about the health status of the population of Georgia. The evidence of health status and other health related phenomena provided by OHIP is used to direct the Division's policies and actions.

HIV/AIDS Epidemiology Section
The HIV/AIDS Epidemiology Section is responsible for managing the state HIV/AIDS surveillance system and conducting critical HIV/AIDS surveillance, investigation, and epidemiologic activities for the state of Georgia.

Georgia Epidemiology Report (GER)
The Georgia Epidemiology Report (GER) is a monthly publication of the Epidemiology Section, Division of Public Health, Georgia Department of Public Health. The GER is distributed monthly to over 30,000 physicians, nurses, laboratories, and public health officials throughout the State of Georgia.
