Injury Surveillance
CDIEE works with the Injury Prevention Section of the
Environmental Health and Injury Prevention Branch to conduct epidemiologic analyses related to
leading causes of injuries in Georgia.
Goals
- To conduct surveillance of
leading causes of unintentional and intentional injuries in Georgia.
- To provide technical assistance related to injury mortality and morbidity to Health Districts and partner organizations.

- This report presents information on deaths and deaths rates for injuries in Georgia from 1993 to 1997. The types of injuries included are suicide, homicide, and deaths from motor vehicle collisions, falls, poisoning, burns, and drowning.
