Chronic Disease Indicators
The chronic disease indicators are a set of 92 measures of chronic disease mortality, morbidity, and risk. These measures were developed by the Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists to standardize chronic disease surveillance across the United States. CDIEE makes information available on a subset of indicators for each of the 18 Public Health Districts.
Goals
- To identify Districts with high rates of chronic disease and associated risk factors.
- To enhance communication between chronic disease epidemiologists and program managers.
