- Georgia is part of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) influenza surveillance system that monitors when, where, and what types of influenza viruses are circulating. Information is updated based on reports from sentinel health-care providers and the Georgia Public Health Laboratory.

- Georgia's Division of Public Health conducts surveillance to monitor the onset and duration of the RSV season. Learn about RSV and track RSV activity throughout the state.
- Georgia Emerging Infections Program

- This is an introductory summary for the Georgia Emerging Infections
Program. We are a collaborative project with Emory, CDC and other state
health departments that conducts active surveillance and initiates research
studies related to foodborne and invasive bacterial pathogens.
- Pregnancy Nutrition Surveillance Georgia 2002

- The Pregnancy Nutrition Surveillance System (PNSS) collects both prenatal and postpartum information. The information collected includes socio-demographic factors, nutritional risk factors (including prepregnancy weight, maternal weight gain and hematological status) prenatal risk factors, infant feeding practices and birth outcome.

- In Fall 2003, Georgia experienced a large increase in Hepatitis A cases. Preliminary investigation revealed that many patients were exposed through restaurants in north and middle Georgia.

Immunization Study Final Report, 2004

- The Division of Public Health, Epidemiology Branch, Immunization Program
and Health Districts collaborated on the Georgia Immunization Study. The purpose
of the study was to assess the immunization coverage rates of two-year-old
children in Georgia statewide and for each of the health districts.
